IPC held a two-day Best Practice Seminar in Brussels on 11-12 September 2012 for both sustainability experts and marketing specialists that focused on developing global industry standards for postal green products.

In this seminar delegates shared experiences of best practice in the development of green products, and discussed the nature of environmentally-friendly products and services postal operators currently offer.

By exchanging information on the development of existing national standards, delegates have tried to take the next step towards internationally accepted standards to enable consumers to accept an internationally recognised ‘green stamp’ on mail and mailings.
